About the Event:

Experience a night of "no-holds-barred" comedy at Austin’s premier weekly showcase. This week, we headline with standout talent Mat Edgar, a fearless voice known for his sharp wit and scene-stealing energy. Paired with Austin’s most unique musical and comedic talents, this Tokes N Jokes is built for those who like their comedy loud, honest, and unfiltered.

The Lineup:

• Mat Edgar: (often known by his Comedy Store moniker "The Edge") is a seasoned stand-up comedian originally from Long Beach, California. He got his start in 2007, climbing the ranks from working the door to becoming a coveted "paid regular" at the world-famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, where he spent over a decade honing a loose, conversational, and "stupid funny" late-night style. He’s a Comedy Mothership regular but you get to see him live in The Green Room Friday 6/19!

• Nate Deal: A versatile staple of the North Austin music community and resident host at Anderson Mill Pub. Nate delivers the smooth, soulful acoustic soundtrack that defines the signature pre-show vibe at The Green Room, locking in a magnetic crowd atmosphere before the mic goes live.

  
  

• Amy Shanker: Our host for the night! A former inner-city public high school English teacher who traded the classroom for the stage, Amy recently dropped her major stand-up special Ms. Teacher Lady with Comedy Dynamics. A regular powerhouse at NYC's The Stand and Chicago's Laugh Factory, she brings a dry, edgier, and brilliantly cynical voice to keep the room moving.

  
  

• Zach Butkovich: A breakout feature act now fully established in the ATX scene. Originally from Southern Illinois near St. Louis, Zach brings a hilariously raw, unapologetic, blue-collar young perspective shaped by years of grit, hard work, and relentless punchlines.
